President's Corner
Greetings,
2008 has been a challenging year for our country to say the least. We've elected a new President, endured unending negative financial news, and I'm told we are in a recession.
I was recently given a button by one of our employees that states "We Refuse to Engage in a Recession" I have worn it everyday since... I believe WE are in control of our future and the management team at Zoom chooses to march forward with a positive attitude. We choose to believe in our opportunity to grow and develop our company in spite of the naysayers.
In keeping with that attitude, over the last year Zoom has taken an aggressive posture toward its future growth. We recently completed the acquisition of two smaller dealerships and opened up a new branch in San Jose. While other companies are laying off employees at an alarming rate, Zoom is still hiring QUALIFIED, OUTSTANDING, individuals to be part of our team.
Don't get me wrong, I am not sticking my head in the sand and ignoring the state of the economy and the surrounding business climate. But instead of buying into the gloom and doom, I choose to believe that there is opportunity for those that are willing to look for it, and work hard for it. As Bill Leonard says "Obstacles are the things you see when you take your eyes off of the goal"
I ask all of you to keep your eyes on the goal, look for opportunity, and work harder than ever for your success. If you do those things, we will not only survive these times, but we will all prosper. 2009 will be a great year if we all do our part and choose success!
